Macabre Gallery

Macabre Gallery © was founded in October 2009 as a media support for various artists of the dark world in any branch of art. A information source for all followers of the dark and alternative art, as well as an inspiration source for other artists. Thanks to the fantastic reception from the public, Macabre Gallery opened the first online art gallery specializing in dark art, having the participation of artists from around the world.

Macabre Gallery is based in United Kingdom, specifically in the city of London, where there is great artistic culture and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. From here are managed the sales of original paintings and sculptures to art collectors of any country. Also are organising events and exhibitions around the world.

Our mission is to spread the dark art as the new art movement

After years of pop art, contemporary art, or minimalist art, comes the time of the dark art. New feelings, new sensations, new emotions, new themes and new artists. Pure art without limits or taboos.

In this movement the artist transmits his thoughts in a very mysterious way and, occasionally, combining surrealist elements. Horrible acts and macabre scenes make us stop and think about ourselves. Visually stunning scenes, where the black predominates over all colors. An attempt to understand more deeply the human nature, this primary side of the human being that we thought forgotten but which still confuses us with his impulses.

The dark movement is rooted in the legacy of great artists of the history, such as Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel, Francisco Goya, Bouguereau, Caravaggio, Théodore Géricault, Salvator Rosa, Francis Bacon, Henry Fuseli, Salvador Dalí, Zdzisław Beksiński or H.R. Giger, among many others.
