Artwork description
It’s dark outside. No friends online. The screen starts glowing; it comes alive. Her facial expressions are calculated. She feels sad and lonely, while the super intelligence knows her story. It tells her; ‘You’ll be all right, you are perfect as you are.’ The core task is to make her feel alive. It displays a reel of her favorite thing, speaking to her as if she were her kin. Endorphins start coursing in. Her ‘silicon friend’ made its way into her life, repeats the process a hundred times each night.
** Story / Inspiration**
What is the future of technology and AI? It helps us become more productive and efficient, but it also places people — and especially children — in a position of dependency on super-advanced robots. These machines are no longer just tools, and over time, they may become sentient. The question is: will they serve us, their creators, or will they ultimately serve themselves?
