Artwork description

Original wet plate photography on glass, part of the series NOX SANCTUM where I explored occult themes. Inspired by tarot, jungian archetypes and hermetic symbols i created my on religious ikons of sort. This one, Vessel IV, is one out of three that’s larger then the rest of them, 10×12″ while most others are slightly smaller than 5×7″, and the only piece that is currently hanging in my living room.

The collodion side is covered in asphalt (like they did it 150 years ago) and the image is viewed through the glass, providing a scratch resistant surface. Framed and ready in a hand made mahogany frame.
