Charlotte Dafoe Biography

United Kingdom, born 1986

Blood holds a peculiar fascination for many people but for Alice it's an important artistic medium. She uses blood in it's undiluted form and sometimes mixed with soluble graphite to depict visions and dreams from the subconscious mind. Blood brings her closer to the subject matter in ways that other mediums just won't allow, enabling her to breathe sinister life into her shadowy subjects.

She's also a landscape artist and paints scenes from the Cairngorms mountains where she draws much of her inspiration from.
