Sweden, born 1966
Due to experiences in my childhood and a young woman I carry a darkness inside of me few people guess is there. I have always had a need to express it, and most unfiltered and unrestricted by convention I can do that through my art, photography, and poetry/writing. My darkness is of course not unique, all humans share a darkness, a knowing most try to avoid and even flee from. I resent the idea that my art is "therapy art" or even "survivor art". It is f*cking strength based art, full of contradictions, like I am. I constantly explore new ways to express myself, using new materials and that way I can let different parts of me have a voice. I did not start to call what I do art, until I had a year at art school a few years back. It was just how I communicated and "spoke". Now, at 60 years of age, I don't care anymore about the ones telling me not to show what I do. So here I am - sharing my art with you, portraying some of the darkest sides of humanity.
