Italy, born 1978
Born in Milan 46 years ago, with a soul immersed in art and a twisted perception of reality.
From a young age, I was drawn to designing unreal objects, not of this world, overcoming great difficulties within my family.
One might think that a child with such a gift would be supported, but in the times I grew up, it was seen as nothing more than madness. Tough times for me, which led to a complete rebellion against a family that had no desire or need to support me.
I started my journey alone, drawing in the most complex ways I could imagine, then exploring all forms of art: from tattooing to airbrushing, even inventing techniques that kept my vision alive.
Not having had any formal schooling, I became the ultimate self-taught artist, where anything I did, I was able to make it happen and give it the meaning I desired.
In the meantime, I began working with metal, in all its forms and sizes, with the fortune of meeting people who claimed to be the best in the field; and if there's a saying "learn the art and put it aside," I had the gift of absorbing any knowledge that was taught to me.
In 1999, I had a work accident that left me unable to use my right arm for two years. A tragedy for my mind, which had so much to give but could not express it. After years, my hand continued to work, but paradoxically, it could lift heavy weights but not a pencil...
I then decided to pursue the path of a sculptor, but with metals, which I had now nearly mastered.
I had a significant encounter with the person I considered the greatest artist ever, H.R. Giger, at his exhibition in Milan in 1996, and it was that day I realized I was on the right path.
The same visions that led me to call him a genius were the same ones that had tormented me for a lifetime, to the point that for years I had dreamed of alien forms and creatures;
Every time I woke from my "nightmares," I felt the need to transfer it all onto paper and, in recent years, onto metal.
I call it "my sickness," but honestly, I can't live without it!
I shape forms as I see and feel them, and I'm convinced that if you have a dream and don't try... well, it will remain just a dream!
