Samantha Wott Biography

United States, born 1995

Samantha Wott is a Marine veteran and a self-taught artist. She works with mixed mediums such as acrylics, watercolors, oils, ink and pencils. Her travels around the world has had a major influence in her creative work and style. Her subject matters often features fantasy and mythological creatures inspired by literature and film, frequently accompanied with weapons and armor. Her other inspirations comes from her strong interest in the performing arts of dance, play’s and musical’s. Her works represent strong and powerful figures who can overcome obstacles and barriers in order to prove that life is precious, valuable and worth protection. Her art goals are to spark a feeling to fight for life. "Art should bring peace to the disturbed and disturb the peaceful" -Banksy

She has exhibited at The Dayton Society of Artists (DSA), been represented at Front Street art community, and displayed work in numerous festivals in Ohio. When taking a break from her studio she enjoys reading and the company of her three snakes and three cats.
