Because the irony it embodies made me giggle. It’s old, rusty, unkept, unloved… Falling apart and a hazard to the passers-by… It is the symbol of love and bien-veillance, but man cannot even réciproque what it evoque.
I just kept thinking “Hell! People down the valley can keep praying, because this cross is definitely not sound. In the end of days, they’ll be so f…! And the cross will look down on them with all its wrath…”
