Artwork description
On the lower level, the darkest, thrown, and broken lies the mask of the “third person”. The person we all present to the outside world. You see, our crown of thorns is made of oval little stones, symbolic of our moments during our life. Some of them are made of many thorns and some of few. But they all have thorns. They are our trials and mistakes, our disappointments, our defeats, our crashes, the pain… our own pain. Everything is ours. All these sufferings deconstruct our mask slowly, which eventually falls down and breaks like a fake porcelain doll… and then is forever lost within some ruins in dark.
In the middle level, there are two more faces joined together like twins. One of those two is what we are to our beloved ones, and to all people close to us… and the other is the face of our true self. To find that, it takes deep digging and that causes traumatic pain… a lot of pain. It is where the rubber meets the road.
On the TOP is The Sun irradiating an ample and clear light! That’s what we are after all…We are all little suns. Self-luminous entities illuminate us with our own light, sometimes to guide others to find their own light to their own path.
…even the little pretty things have thorns…and teeth…and claws…how ready are we or do we feel to grasp them? … which peak do we really want to conquer? …are we ready to bleed?
