Artwork description
I have always been fascinated by skeletons, bones, and skulls of various kinds. Every curve and joint reveals a story of elegance and resilience, meticulously crafted by nature’s hand, embodying a delicate balance between form and function.
This window hanging is handcrafted using traditional stained glass techniques, including leaded glass windows and glass painting as well as intricate metalwork.
Creating the painting itself involved five layers of vitreous paints and underwent five separate firings in the kiln to achieve its distinctive appearance. Each piece was meticulously leaded, soldered, and cemented for added durability. Finally, I adorned it with my signature filigree ornaments, entirely handmade using copper and steel wire.
