The hut on chicken legs briskly walks through the night forest along a path, smoke comes out of the chimney and the window glows in the darkness. The night light of the sky breaks through the crowns of the fir trees. The lines and spots of the hut, smoke and branches mysteriously form the profile of a witch or a young man with long hair, in love with the darkness. On the left and right of the picture are depicted a dark tree and a light one, like the white and black columns on the sides of the throne of the High Priestess of the Tarot, which here acts as the house of the witch and, at the same time, as a mysterious witch’s profile, through which the night forest shines through as a symbol of the soul.
