Silence beneath his gaze by Marc Tremblay (Original Painting)

*Le Silence sous son regard* (Silence Beneath Her Gaze) presents a universe suspended between domination, anticipation, and disappearance. Two spaces are superimposed: in the upper section, an imposing female figure occupies almost the entire frame; below, a monumental world seems to have frozen under her presence.
The woman appears both human and alien. Her body is traversed by organic and mechanical forms suggesting a transformation that has already taken place. Her posture lends her a calm, almost sovereign authority. In the lower scene, scattered silhouettes appear to be waiting at the foot of architectural structures whose function remains unknown. No dramatic event unfolds; it is precisely this absence of action that creates the tension. Brown streaks and weathered textures evoke rust, earth, and the passage of time. The title transforms her gaze into an invisible force. The figure issues no commands, yet everything seems already subject to her presence. Beneath her gaze, the world does not disappear: it falls silent.
