The title “Arcani” is a derivation of the Latin word “Arcanum” which translates to “Secret”. The viewer should be transported in a alternative Future, where this series of vessels will be needed in the rites of a dystopian society. On the one side there is the motive of the all-seeing eye, on the other a schematically the head of an extraterrestrial species. Will we be involved in the mysterious rituals of the future? Or will a new civilization produce these sacred vessels after the downfall of humanity?

Work technical description
“Arcani” combines my skills as a blacksmith and glassmaker in a very subtle way. First, it is necessary to create a metal tool, developed in over 40 hours. After this process, the glass is blown into the mold and after annealing it must be cut, sanded and polished at the edge. Due to the rare shaping method of “cageblowing”, the glass is not only visually but above all haptically very appealing. Almost sculptural, the glass appears through this technique and results in completely new possibilities of design.
