In ‘Centauride Leina,’ I have subverted the classical centaur myth to explore its feminine counterpart: the Centauride. This is a work I hold in particularly high regard, as it delves into a turbid and unsettling eroticism that blurs the lines between human grace and primal, bestial desire.
Half woman and half mare, Leina stands as a challenge to the viewer’s own hidden fantasies. I wanted to play with the concept of deceptive purity; do not let the pristine white of her equine half fool you. Beneath that coat lies a sexual beast capable of transporting the possessor to unimaginable realms of pleasure.
I pose a daring question to the collector: Would you possess the woman, the mare, or the intoxicating fusion of both? I have painted her in a moment of stillness, surrounded by the deep blues of a twilight forest, waiting for someone brave enough to embrace the hybrid. Dare you tame the untamable?
