In the Eighties we organized punk/new wave/funk…and more parties with our Soundsystem New Epidemic. Not casual parties but groundbreaking with visuals, strange objects, unknown music and provocative themes. One of them was “Bende Van Nijvel” (three editions: 1984, 1987 & 1990). Bende van Nijvel (Gang of Nivelles) was (is) a never identified gang terrorizing Belgium in the first half of the eighties. For the first edition posters (1984) we used six sarcastic photos of the New Epidemic crewmembers pretending being those criminals. For the second edition posters (1987) I draw a surreal version of the six photos. We did DIY screen printing with iris print for the publicity and made some extra on quality paper. These are the last ones available.
