“Give back to Life” is a sculpture about us as humanity and how we are coming to the final crossroad. The bird is flying to the tree of Life in what seems to be in the final hour. The bird is tired but still carries strength, hope and love in its heart and soul. The tree is old and worn down and it has been bent by time and hardships. It’s been giving and giving for eons, giving Life and hope and love.
Now it’s time to give back and that is what the bird is about to do. Although it may seem like a small and even insignificant act, the bird is about to do something lifechanging and crucial for everyone. Because instead of always expecting the tree to carry all of us, expecting the tree to give us air to breath, homes to live in, food to eat, friends and family to share our lives with, fulfilling our dreams and helping us reach our goals it is now time to give. Not to expect, not to take for granted, not to wait, not to just take and take but to give.
Give a warm and kind smile to the person in front of you, really listen to someone when they are talking, share your food and home with others, take care of animals, notice the nature around you, be respectful and kind to others. Do all this without expecting anything back.
Because now is the time to give back to Life.
