The painting “Mountain Lake” is a captured moment of one of these worlds, frozen on the borders of consciousness. This is a real landscape created based on the view from Mount Vottovaara (Karelia, Russia), but refracted through the prism of a parallel world. Here, in another version of reality, life flows according to its own laws — alien, incredible, beyond the control of humanity.
Giant tentacles stretch from the depths of the lake into the sky. Their nature is unknown, perhaps this is the oldest creature living in the waters beyond time. Mysterious spherical objects are slowly swaying on the surface of the lake.
The painting hints at the presence of something incomprehensible, beyond human control, something that exists simultaneously with us, it generates feelings of anxiety, fascination and awe of the unknown.
