This painting is the first of 7 paintings that comprise “The Alice Collection.” “The Alice Collection” is a group of 7 paintings that span a decade of my life. This collection began as an experiment in painting on different surfaces, similar to how graffiti artists “tag” different structures. The name “Alice” was originally meant to be a tag, and is the name of my late grandmother, Alice. This collection represents my journey through the “dark night of the soul.” There are more details about this collection and others on my website, (linked in my profile).
